As a Shopify Developer , your core mission is to support the Co-Founder of FORMULA (one of WKND's subsidiaries) with deep technical expertise in Shopify development , ensuring high-performance storefronts, seamless integrations, and CRO-driven implementations . You will work on both front-end and back-end development , handling everything from Liquid customization to app development . Your role is crucial in optimizing and innovating Shopify stores to improve user experience and conversion rates .

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Development & Customization:

• Develop, modify, and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON templates .
• Build custom Shopify apps and plugins for advanced store functionality ( huge plus ).
• Handle API integrations, third-party tool connections, and app extensions to enhance Shopify store capabilities.
• Ensure fast, responsive, and SEO-friendly Shopify storefronts for optimal performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in Shopify's Liquid code and core functionality .
• Swiftly develop and deploy Shopify stores and landing pages , ensuring top-tier performance and design accuracy.

Back-End & Advanced Development:

• Work with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and REST APIs to develop custom solutions .
• Optimize Shopify store speed , ensuring best performance across all devices.
• Develop automation scripts or tools to improve operational efficiency .
• Implement advanced schema configurations and structured data for better SEO and data tracking .

Conversion Rate Optimization & Testing Implementation:

• Implement and manage CRO testing tools ( Intelligems, VWO, Google Optimize , etc.) to support A/B testing .
• Collaborate with the CRO team to develop, track, and deploy experiments on Shopify .
• Ensure tests are properly set up , with clean code and accurate tracking integrations .

Figma & Design Integration :

• Translate Figma or Adobe XD designs into fully functional Shopify pages , while maintaining clean, scalable code .
• Work closely with designers and CRO strategists to bring creative visions to life in a way that's both functional and high-converting .
• Bridge the gap between design and technical feasibility , ensuring pixel-perfect execution .

Collaboration & Technical Support:

• Work alongside CRO specialists, designers, marketers, and data analysts to create seamless user experiences .
• Maintain documentation of custom development work , apps, and integrations.
• Provide technical support for Shopify-related issues , troubleshooting bugs and optimizing performance .

KPI's You Will Achieve:

• Ensure 95%+ of Shopify development tasks are completed on time .
• Ensure less than 5% rework on completed development tasks.
• Deliver 100% bug-free custom app/plugin development and integrations .
• Successfully launch fully developed Shopify stores and high-performance landing pages within expected timeframes.

Deal Makers:

• You are a Shopify Liquid expert with deep knowledge of Shopify's back-end structure .
• You can build custom apps, scripts, or advanced integrations that push Shopify's limits .
• You have experience working with CRO testing tools and implementing tests at scale .
• You have a strong understanding of front-end performance optimization and SEO best practices .
• You have great problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment .
• You have an eye for design and UX ( a major plus if you can work with Figma files directly ).
• You can quickly and efficiently develop Shopify websites and landing pages while maintaining high-quality execution .
• A portfolio of previous work is a big plus .

Technical Competencies:

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify development ( Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, APIs ).
• Strong knowledge of Shopify's back-end, schema configurations, and API architecture .
• Experience in building Shopify apps ( Node.js, React, Ruby on Rails, or PHP is a plus ).
• Familiarity with CRO testing tools like Intelligems, VWO, or Google Optimize .
• Basic to advanced understanding of Figma and UI/UX best practices ( big bonus ).

Deal Breakers:

• Weak Shopify development skills or inability to work with Liquid and Shopify's APIs .
• Lack of experience in CRO-related development or refusal to learn it.
• Poor communication skills or inability to collaborate in a fast-moving team .
• Inability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time .
