The Purchasing Director leads and optimizes the procurement operations for Perdue AgriBusiness. Ensures the best value for all assigned purchased materials and services including industrial supplies; operating materials; capital equipment; business services; construction; maintenance and repair materials and services; and other purchased categories that may be assigned. Ensures availability of those purchased materials or services as required for continued operation and customer satisfaction; and to continuously improve our procurement and risk management processes to meet and exceed competitive capability (people, products and profitability) requirements. Provides information in the form of market conditions, price forecasts and supplier derived innovations.
The salary range for this position is $84,000.00- $126,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Able to move freely throughout the facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities and other offsite locations. Able to operate a motor vehicle. Able to use standard office equipment and communicate on telephone. Some travel required to visit operational locations, suppliers ,and contractors. Situations may also necessitate travel as well as work hours and days.
