Veterinary Urgent Care Practice Manager - Position  beginning February 2025 for new hospital opening in April!

Job Summary: 

The Urgent Care Practice Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of their location, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, client satisfaction, referral relationship management, and operational efficiency. Partnering with the Managing Doctor and Operations Director, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the happiness and sustainability of the team and culture at AcutePet Urgent Care - Voorhees.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  1. Operational Leadership: 
    • Oversee and manage the daily operations including employee scheduling and payroll, human resource activities and compliance. 
    • Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to optimize patient care, client services, and referral relationships. 
  2. Staff Guidance: 
    • Participate in staff recruiting, training, and support. 
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 
    • Work closely with the HR Director to maintain compliance with HR laws and documentation. 
    • Collaborate with the Managing Doctor and Technician Lead to conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement. 
  3. Client Relations: 
    • Interact with clients to address inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. 
    • Implement strategies to enhance the client experience and strengthen client relationships. 
  4. Referral Relations: 
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, monitoring referral patterns and identifying opportunities to increase referrals. 
  5. Financial Management: 
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and manage hospital performance. 
    • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective measures to achieve financial goals.
    • Assist in inventory management.
  6. Training and Development: 
    • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff. 
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in veterinary medicine. 
  7. Facility Management: 
    • Collaborate with Facilities team to maintain the facility and equipment. 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in veterinary practice management, with a focus on urgent care or emergency medicine. 
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine and industry regulations. 
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. 
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field a plus.
