Job Title: Verification and Validation Engineer 1
Location: Rochester, NY
Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $33/hour

We are seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer to join our growing team in Rochester, NY . In this contract role, you will be responsible for the formal verification and validation of complex medical devices, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. You will work closely with our engineering team in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute manual and automated test procedures based on requirements using Quality Center .
• Conduct tests in both virtual and lab environments, ensuring thorough test coverage.
• Analyze and compile test results, providing detailed feedback to the engineering team.
• Assess requirements for testability and determine the most efficient test approach.
• Document and manage system software defects using Quality Center .
• Actively participate in Agile sprint planning and team meetings, contributing to the overall success of the project.
• Perform work in a BL2 lab environment , adhering to PPE requirements.
• Support other work-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering , or a related field is required.
• Experience with Agile methodology , Jira , Quality Center , Virtual Box , and UNIX is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical device verification and validation processes under FDA regulations .
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
