POSITION: Tax Accountant

FULLTIME/PARTTIME: FULLTIME

LOCATION: Riverside, RI

SCHEDULE: M-F 8am-6pm

PAY RANGE: $26.00 – 28.34 hourly
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Corporate Accounts Payable (CAP) is a global operations function that supports 42 countries.
• We are an integrated team with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow as our functional teams include: Payee Operations, Invoicing, Global Employee Expense Reimbursement, Global Service Center & Card Administration, AP Research & Accounting , Indirect Tax (Business Personal Property, US Sales & Use tax and Withholding taxes), and Project Initiatives teams.
• This role includes partnership with Global compliance and Risk partners and Tax specialists across the Bank as well as partnership across the rest of Corporate Accounts Payable to better integration with our payee set up and invoicing teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be prepared to work in and enjoy a fast paced, team oriented environment.
• Primary responsibilities will be to assist the Global Indirect Tax team which has responsibility for the Sales and Use Tax and Business Personal Property tax functions for the company as well as Information Reporting and Withholding on vendor payments.
• Tasks can include: Sales & Use tax filings for the company, review of vendor invoices for accuracy of sales tax and withholding and tax reporting, preparation of sales and use tax returns, tax research questions, tax forecasting, review/approve journal entries, and participate in special projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year Accounting Degree
• Sales and Use Tax Experience are required
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Analytical & Research Skills
• Good communication skills and process improvement skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Strong Excel skills
