**Job Title: Steel Fitter (Welder)** **Job Description** As a Steel Fitter (Welder), you will play a crucial role in interpreting steel blueprints and structural prints, laying out and fitting structural steel components for fabrication, and marking welding symbols on steel beams. You will work with metal ranging from 1 inch to 5+ inches thick, maintaining productivity while collaborating as a team player. **Responsibilities** + Interpret steel blueprints and structural prints accurately. + Lay out and fit structural steel components for fabrication. + Mark welding symbols on steel beams for welders. + Work with thick metal ranging from 1 inch to 5+ inches. + Maintain productivity and work independently while collaborating as a team player. **Essential Skills** + Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifically steel and structural prints. + Experience with structural steel and fitting processes. + Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Fabrication experience is a plus. + Bilingual candidates are a plus. + Must be willing to work at least 20-25 hours of overtime. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with 401k packages when brought on perm. It can get hot and is a dusty, loud, and open area shop. You will be working under a large awning that covers the shop floor during the 2nd shift from 5pm to 3:30am, currently averaging 55 to 58 hours a week. The company is consistently bidding on jobs that have over 100k man hours. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, Arizona. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
