Staff Pharmacist - Peoria, IL

Compensation: $68 - $72 hourly | DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Staff Pharmacist for a reputable, technology-powered, growth-minded, and well-backed pharmacy in Peoria, IL. The ideal candidate must be a licensed pharmacist in Illinois and have at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.

About the Job

Staff pharmacists are vital in healthcare, ensuring safe and effective medication use. They dispense prescriptions, offer patient counseling, and collaborate with healthcare teams. The pharmacists will verify prescriptions, manage drug interactions, and provide valuable medication information. Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate prescription filling.

• Manage clinical care, patient interactions, and continuous quality improvement.

• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

• Control pharmacy sales, expenses, and inventory management.

• Maintain a positive image through high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and partners.

• Protect and develop department assets, ensuring efficient use of resources.

• Ensure department staff provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service.

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, maintaining a positive pharmacy image.

• Continuously improve the pharmacy's reputation through excellent customer service.

Qualifications :

• At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• A licensed Pharmacist in Illinois is required.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to commute or relocate to Peoria, IL.

• Authorized to work in the US.
