Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive team in the Manville, Rhode Island area. This full-time, onsite-only role involves working in self-contained classrooms to provide specialized support to students with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Position Details:

Grade Level: Elementary
Caseload: 8-12 students per classroom
Classroom Setting: Self-contained, focusing on students with autism and developmental disabilities
Schedule: Full-time, onsite-only

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet each student's unique learning needs and goals.
Foster a structured, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies specifically designed for students with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the best possible education.
Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff members to provide a holistic support system for each student's growth.
Establish and maintain strong communication with families, providing updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

Must hold valid certification for Special Education in Rhode Island.
Previous experience working with students with autism and developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
Commitment to onsite instruction; remote candidates will not be considered.
