Job Description

This position is accountable for the provision of quality outcome-based educational programs and practice support, which promote initial and ongoing competency and continuous development of the Social Work staff.

    • 1.1 Develops, organizes, implements and evaluates Facility and System Based education and programs to ensure competencies of social work personnel.

  • 8. Evidence-Based Practice
    • 8.1 Promotes best practice in care coordination and social work.

    • 9.1 Assists in the identification of staff for preceptor development.
  • 10. Practice Readiness
    • 10.1 Facilitates orientation by collaborating with the department.
  • 11. Measurement Strategies
    • 11.1 Integrates performance indicators in education activities.
  • 12. Professional Self Development
    • 12.1 Seeks out opportunities for professional growth through organizational affiliations or certifications within specialty areas.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION


Masters of Social Work Required


EXPERIENCE


Minimum 5 years' experience in Social Work, or related field.


LICENSURE


Current Connecticut State Social Work Licensure required. Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.


SPECIAL SKILLS


Excellent communication skills, Understanding of human learning theory, healthcare systems, social work and ability to manage multiple priorities. Working knowledge and experience with IT systems and Epic. Ability to utilize lean thinking and process improvement cycles. Ability to understand and use data with Microsoft Excel. Excellent presentation skills.
