Our Home is seeking a skilled Sheeter/Over Operator to join our team on 2nd shift. As a Sheeter/Oven Operator, you will play a critical role in the production process by operating machinery within the processing room. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating sheeters and ovens, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position's typical schedule works Monday - Friday 3:00PM - 11:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate corn grinder, mixing equipment, pinch conveyors, pre-sheeter, sheeter, oven, equilibrator, and fryer

• Carries out quality control checks to ensure chips / crackers are within established limits

• Monitor process equipment and document any issues or concerns, and report any problems with materials or equipment

• Carries out prescribed daily and weekly sanitation procedures

• Perform all production / quality tests as required

• Verifies proper operation on Kitchen machines

• Maintains complete, accurate and legible records or log sheets as required

• Purge all equipment and pipelines before changing products to avoid cross contamination

• Regularly review production schedule to ensure we’re meeting customer demand

• Monitor production as to not have excessive waste at the end of production order

• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and workspace throughout their shift

• Clean and sanitize equipment and during their shift and end of work week SSOP clean up

• Perform any other duties as required by Supervisor or Production Manager

• Comply with all GMP best practices

• Ensures that the highest safety and sanitation standards are maintained

Requirements

• Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Requires knowledge of product quality

• Food Handlers Certificate

• Forklift certification is required

• Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and Independent

• Continuous standing and walking

• Constant bending and lifting required (50-80 lbs.)
