We utilize tools, process and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions for our clients. We collaborate to solve problems, innovate to provide creative solutions and work to continuously improve for our customers and our team. **Partner with the best** As a Security Consultant II, you'll be the primary security services contact for our customers. You will be ensuring the successful integration and support of customers on our platform. You'll act as a trusted consultant in this growing and high-profile area. You'll learn and implement creative solutions helping customers leverage Akamai's security products and achieve desired outcomes. As a Security Consultant II you will be responsible for: + Ensuring customer success by understanding requirements, leveraging best practices and offering consulting services that meet customer needs + Collaborating with integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture, develop and deliver long-term security strategy and cloud solutions + Working with security experts to solve technical problems, demonstrating Akamai's value, and communicating effectively with all audiences + Participating in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality **Do what you love** To be successful in this role you will: + Have 5 years experience in a customer-facing role within the information technology industry + Have excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers + Be familiar with security technology, process and concepts, security event management, or security compliance + Have knowledge of implementation concepts that deal with web development, IT systems or security practice + Demonstrate knowledge of project management concepts and techniques + Demonstrate the ability to multitask, adapt and thrive within an ever-changing environment **Build your career at Akamai** Our ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $91,600 - $190,400/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
