Job Title: Commercial Project Manager

Location: Sacramento Full-Time On-site

We're representing a leading general contractor with a strong track record delivering high-quality commercial construction projects across the Multifamily, Retail (Big Box), Healthcare, and Hospitality sectors. Known for its commitment to safety, innovation, and client satisfaction, this firm is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to help lead complex ground-up and renovation projects from preconstruction through close-out.

Position Overview:
The Commercial Project Manager will play a critical leadership role in the planning and execution of multiple projects across commercial verticals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a natural problem-solver, and brings a collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and design professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.


  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and job cost reports.


  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents, Estimators, and Subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.


  • Facilitate communication with owners, architects, and engineers to resolve project challenges.


  • Oversee subcontractor buyouts, contract negotiations, and change order management.


  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.


  • Drive project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.


  • Lead project meetings and deliver clear, consistent updates to stakeholders.


  • Foster strong client relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.

Project Types:

  • Ground-up and podium Multifamily developments


  • Big Box Retail and tenant improvements (e.g., Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.)


  • Healthcare facilities (clinics, medical office buildings, urgent care)


  • Hotels and extended-stay hospitality projects

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management


  • Proven track record managing projects in Multifamily , Retail , Healthcare , or Hospitality


  • Proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)


  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills


  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
