Job Description

Print Operator provides operational support in a fulfillment center, performing tasks across several areas including:

  • Operating high-volume printing equipment (Segment 5) to produce large print jobs on pre-calibrated machines.
  • Copying, binding, and finishing work.
  • Shipping and receiving products and supplies.
  • Sorting, distributing, and handling incoming/outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Applying postage.
  • Performing maintenance and basic repair on customer site copier equipment.
  • Supporting building functions. (meeting setups, light maintenance, and housekeeping)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-volume printing equipment in a fast-paced, mechanically advanced environment.
  • Set up and run all applications on assigned equipment.
  • Inspect convenience copiers for quality and functionality; clear paper jams and escalate technical issues.
  • Perform basic repair services on customer copier equipment.
  • Maintain records, service logs, and supply inventories.
  • Distribute office supplies, faxes, and mail to designated areas.
  • Calculate charges for services performed and maintain billing logs.
  • Coordinate and respond to all service calls.
  • Deliver completed print jobs to customers on-site or nearby locations.
  • Perform filing duties, including purging and archiving documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and supply stock in copier areas.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving duties.
  • Set up meeting and conference rooms as required.
  • Assist with minor building maintenance tasks, such as light bulb replacement or cleaning.
  • Occasionally work overtime, including nights, weekends, or emergency call-ins.
  • Operate related equipment such as shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, bindery tools, joggers, staplers, and postage meters.
  • Utilize office tools including copiers, fax machines, calculators, and basic PC functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume print environments is highly desirable.

Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet minimum auto insurance requirements.

Technical Requirements:

Ability to learn complex production and communication systems, including client-specific applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of copier and related equipment (preferred).
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Basic electronics knowledge (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions for mail and document handling.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and publications.
