Beech Mountain Resort in Beech Mountain, NC is looking for one prep cook to join our team. This position is for one full day every Wednesday through the entire winter season. Additional work available Thursday-Sunday at our Taproom & Grill if interested. We are located on 1007 Beech Mountain Pkwy. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
· Prep menu items in cooperation with the rest of the team
· Maintain clean and orderly work station
· Offer creative suggestions regarding food and beverage offerings when requested
· Stock inventory
· Fire up cooking equipment including wood fired grill
· Assist with menu development
· Assist with all kitchen cleaning responsibilities
Qualifications
· BOH experience in casual fine dining or better preferred
· Baking experience strongly preferred
· Grilling experience with wood fired grill preferred
· Servesafe certification required
· Understanding of a wide variety of ingredients and usage
· Able to anticipate needs of coworkers and proactively work to meet those needs
· Strong attention to detail
