Plant Controller

Position Overview
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and optimizing cost management strategies. This role involves collaborating closely with operations to enhance profitability and drive efficiency through effective financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for the plant.
• Monitor and control plant costs and assist in the development of budgets.
• Conduct month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage inventory accounting and valuation, ensuring compliance with standard costing procedures.
• Support audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience with month-end close and audit processes.
