NYU Paris is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach the following undergraduate courses in French language: Elementary French 1 and Elementary French 2;

Elementary French 1 Monday/Wednesday 11:00-12:50

This course is designed to give students no previous training in French the opportunity to acquire the fundamentals of the French language and broaden their knowledge of French and Francophone cultures.  

Elementary French 2 Tues Thurs 9-10:50

This course is designed to give students with some previous experience in French the opportunity to continue to acquire the fundamentals of the French language and broaden their knowledge of French and Francophone cultures. They will acquire key information from listening and reading brief, simple, authentic materials, and have a fair understanding of the meaning of standard  conversations on a variety of familiar topics, including present and past events

Les étudiants pourront acquérir des informations clés en écoutant et en lisant des documents brefs, simples et authentiques, et d'avoir une bonne compréhension du sens de conversations standard sur une variété de sujets familiers, y compris des événements présents et passés.

Language of instruction: French

Teaching commences in January 2024; courses meet for a 14.5 week term.

Candidates must have a M.A. in French language, and two or three semesters of teaching or comparable experience.

The appointed persons will have full responsibility for teaching and coordinating the course. The courses are taught in a seminar, discussion-based style and offered to undergraduate students, mostly in their second or third year of study. All students are NYU students enrolled in NYU degrees in New York, Abu Dhabi or Shanghai who come to study at NYU Paris for one semester. Classes take place at our Academic Centre in Paris.

Les candidats doivent avoir un M2 en FLE plus deux ou trois semestres d'enseignement ou d'expérience comparable.

Les personnes nommées auront l'entière responsabilité d'enseigner et de coordonner le cours.  Les cours sont enseignés en forme de séminaire et est offert aux étudiants de premier cycle, pour la plupart dans leur deuxième ou troisième année d'études. Les étudiants sont en premier cycle et viennent des campus de NYU à New York, Shanghai et Abu Dhabi afin d'étudier à NYU Paris pour un semestre. Le cours a lieu dans notre centre académique à Paris.
