Job Description

We are looking for an Office Manager who will be responsible for management of office operations, internship supervision, and assisting in the programmatic areas  including supporting aspects of the NGO CSW Forum, as directed by the Co-Chairs and Executive Committee.

Please note that candidates must be located in the New York Metropolitan area and able to travel to our office in Manhattan. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. We cannot sponsor visas.

This position is part time for 28 hours per week, with three days in person and one day virtual, to be determined by the employee and the co-chairs. The salary for the Office Manager is $4,250 per month for the nine (9) month period.

Responsibilities:

Office coordination :

  • Maintain efficient office operations
  • Support operations for the NGO CSW Forum
  • Takes direction from Co-Chairs
  • Work closely with Treasurer and bookkeeper for financial management
  • Coordinate communications and outreach with Communications Secretary and website producer
  • Maintain accurate records regarding attendance for all employees

Supervision of interns

  • Recruit, train, and supervise interns
  • Organize interns’ assignments and schedules
  • Assign interns to attend events and meetings
  • Plan work assignments during the internship and during the two weeks of CSW

Program Coordination

  • Serve as a representative of NGO CSW/NY at relevant meetings as determined by the Co-Chairs
  • Keep abreast with the 2030 Agenda, gender equality processes at the United Nations including Generation Equality, and other relevant processes related to programmatic assignments
  • Attend meetings with Member States and UN entities as assigned by the Co-Chairs
  • Assist with the development of the NGO CSW Forum as directed by the Co-Chairs
