Network Engineer

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Network Engineer for JBSIT that will reporting onsite to a poultry plant in the southeast.

JBS USA is seeking a Network Engineer who can design, implement and manage standards-based data communication networks.  Our Field Network Engineering group is responsible for providing a robust and reliable data communications infrastructure between and within 100+ facilities in North America.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN) in both corporate and industrial environments.
• Collaborate with corporate engineers to provide data communication scopes of work for expansion and greenfield projects to be executed by low voltage contractors.
• Serve as a resource to Network Administrators within various business units responsible for day-to-day network operations within their facilities.
• Monitor network performance to ensure maximum system availability and reliability.
• Configure various network devices and services, including:
  • Cisco ASR and 4K series routers
  • Cisco Catalyst 9300, 9200, 9500, 3850, 3650, and 2960 series switches
  • Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches
  • Cisco 9800 series Wireless LAN controllers
  • Cisco 3700, 3800, and 9100 Wireless Access Points
  • Routing protocols (Static, BGP, EIGRP)
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco Unified Communications
  • Cisco Meraki Infrastructure
  • HP Aruba SDWAN
  • Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls
• Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team to meet JBS standards.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Communicate with all levels of end users with equal respect.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Travel within North America for projects and deployments as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent work experience in a related field will also be considered.
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP or higher certification is desired.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience is preferred. Previous experience with JBS is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on network engineering experience and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and exhibit high flexibility.
• Possess a "can do" attitude.
• Thorough understanding of networking protocols, including IP Subnetting.
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $74,000-$90,000;
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
