Job Description

DAC Engineered Products is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the production and scheduling of aerospace components fabricated from both metallic and non-metallic based materials. Responsibilities will relate to applying a working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process. Develops production processes, inspection criteria, and testing criteria that will ensure product quality through the different processes. Design and implement tooling and continuous improvements into production processes. The successful candidate must be “hands on” and able to work both independently and collaboratively, bringing their knowledge of manufacturing to deliver engineering solutions and process improvements. The “hands on” philosophy will include learning how to fabricate the various products and perform the processes used in their fabrication to better aid in implementing improvements. The successful candidate must have an excellent technical aptitude, be analytical and detail oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment with a diverse product line. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Write, review, train on, and support production with respect to SOP documents, product work instructions, and inspection processes.
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing Orders (MO), Bill of Operations (BOO), and Bill of Materials (BOM) within electronic ERP system.
  • Showcase a strong understanding of various materials and manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers and technicians when needed to understand product and tooling requirements for products in the design and analysis phases.
  • Perform Materials Review Board (MRB) reviews to evaluate and troubleshoot product or process concerns and progress corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and team leaders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to products and/or processes via gap analysis and time studies.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or other applicable study
  • MUST be mechanically inclined with an eye for details.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with technical writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Have experience with hands-on projects (cars, woodwork, metal fabrication, etc.).
  • Have experience with manual and/or CNC machining (mills, lathes, band saw, etc.).
  • Have welding experience (TIG).
  • Experience/knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
