Description Our client, a highly reputable plaintiff employment law firm, located in the heart of Oakland, is seeking a skilled Legal Secretary/Assistant to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities: As a Legal Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the efficiency of daily operations. Primary duties include: + E-filing: Handle electronic filing of legal documents with precision and timeliness across court systems + Calendaring: Manage court deadlines, trial schedules, and appointments to ensure attorneys are always prepared + Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with organization and preparation of exhibits, pleadings, witness lists, and trial binders in advance of proceedings + Document Formatting: Maintain a meticulous eye for detail while drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents for accuracy and compliance Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: + Experience: At least 1+ years of legal support experience, whether in plaintiff or defense work + Interest in Employment Law: A genuine passion for labor and employment law and advocacy. + Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with legal calendaring tools and electronic filing platforms. + Attention to Detail: Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all work.
