Description Robert Half is seeking a Legal Secretary for its large law firm client with an office in the East Bay (near BART / hybrid telecommute remotely 2 days/week). The qualifications for the position are the following: 3+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary; preparation of various pleadings including discovery, law and motion matters, writs, appellate pleadings and briefs; knowledge of e-filing in state and federal court; and adept at providing general administrative support. This is an established law firm with long-term, happy staff (low turnover) and friendly, flexible management. The annual base salary range is $85,000 - 105,000+/yr, DOE, and the employment benefits offered are very generous. 37.5 hour work week. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary in a law firm setting. - Proficiency in e-filing systems for both state and federal courts. - Strong skills in proofreading, spelling, and grammar to ensure accuracy in legal documents. - Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel, with the ability to redline and format complex documents. - Typing speed of 45-60 words per minute with high accuracy. - Familiarity with case management software and other legal technology tools. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of appellate court procedures is a plus.
