Tiens legal team was listed among the 10 candidates for the ALB award of Chinese Private Owned Company In-house Team of year 201 5. This position is based in Wuqing District, Tianjin, China. Wuqing as the headquarters of Tiens supports Tiens worldwide operations in 190 countries. This position will serve as the legal project manager in the Overseas Legal Support Department, Group Legal, Audit & Supervision Center, and will report to the Director of the Overseas Legal Support Department. This legal project manager will collaborate and work closely with other Tiens lawyers, including those who provide legal advice in specialized areas such as, real estate, labor/employment, intellectual property, and investment. Strong leadership skills, teaming capability, excellent communication, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach are essential for this position. Principal Accountabilities:• Legal research. • Manage Legal Risk: proactively manage and advise on all legal and compliance matters and work closely with management team to identify, evaluate and effectively manage risk. • Facilitate Growth: provide leadership from legal perspective on key growth projects• Contracts: negotiate, review, draft and advise on a broad range of corporate, commercial and trading agreements. • Collaboration: work closely with Law colleagues, other functional teams, and Senior Leadership Team to gain a deep understanding of business strategy, business environment, key legal issues, challenges and opportunities. • Current Law: conduct legal research and analysis; stay updated on key developments and changes in the laws relating to our businesses; communicate impacts of these changes to clients. • Disputes and Litigation: manage disputes and litigation, including selection and management of external counsel. • Other duties as assigned.
