This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately May 2026) or continuing into Summer 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About The Team
We are looking for a Software Product Manager intern to support our Supply Chain Organization by leading improvements of key Tesla supply chain applications. You will be part of a team that is managing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across all of Tesla’s Global Supply Management Team. The role requires the ability to build strong cross-functional working relationships with our software engineers, supply chain, finance, internal audit, and vendor onboarding teams, as you lead respective software development lifecycle from requirements articulation through feature deployment. You will interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including our buyers as well as executives on a regular basis. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing as well as presentation skills are crucial, as is the ability to synthesize complex issues, drive desired outcomes, and influence stakeholders across functions inside and outside Tesla.

What You'll Do

Lead key software application improvements and identify compliance risks within applications utilized by Tesla’s global supply chain teams Act as the technical supply chain liaison for internal application requests and coordinate requirements with cross-functional teams Document business requirements with supporting use cases, process workflows and dependencies, and propose technical solutions for respective applications Partner with technical engineering team to develop scalable solutions Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and develop product documentation to be consumed by application users Align cross-functionally with independent contributors and senior leadership interacting with respective applications Articulate solutions to complex technical problems and present relevant information to a non-technical audience

What You'll Bring

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or a related field Ability to successfully work with cross range of teams including purchasing, software engineering, UX, legal, finance, sales and operations Working experience (inclusive of internships). Product Management work experience is a plus Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, MS Teams), JIRA, Confluence or similar tools/technologies Knowledge of SQL is a plus

Expected Compensation

$27.64 - $45.43/hour + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
