The Dalton School, a progressive K-12 gender-inclusive school in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is consistently recognized as one of the preeminent independent day schools in the nation. We are seeking a 8-10 week leave replacement from January – March 2025 for a full-time health educator position to provide instruction to students in the areas of health and wellness. This position reports to the Director of Health & Wellness and works in collaboration with administrative teams and faculty.
The Health Educator will provide instruction in areas of hygiene, nutrition, social/emotional learning, body autonomy and consent strategies, body awareness/anatomy, movement, and mindful awareness practices that cultivate students’ inner and outer resources and foster a lifetime of healthy living and holistic wellbeing. In addition, foster positive classroom environments through social-emotional work in the classroom.
In partnership with school psychologists and counselors, the Health Educator may help facilitate student groups, and provide individual support for students struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
