Job Description

We are looking for a Freelance Associate Technical Designer, Cut & Sew Knits for a top, contemporary fashion brand in NYC.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with maintaining and tracking technical specs
Assisting with grading specs and garment measurements
Reviews samples against design package to ensure all specifications, construction and design details are adhered to
Attends fit sessions and assists with fit comments from concept to TOP of assigned classifications
Communicates daily with vendors, Merchants, Design, and Production, Overseas offices, Suppliers and Customers team

Required Qualifications:

Experience in fashion industry – cut & sew knits
Expert In Excel
Must be organized, multi-tasker
Driven toward technical accuracy
Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately
Effective communicator on multiple levels
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
3+ years of experience
Pattern Making Experience
