Overview of the Role:

Embark on a rewarding career as a Flight Paramedic where you will be pivotal in delivering advanced medical assistance and rapid response to those in critical need. In this vital role, you will leverage your skills and expertise to ensure efficient and effective medical transport. Responsibilities:

  • Execute specialized functions, complex assessments, and emergency treatment for patients via rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground transport.
  • Document precise and accurate information regarding patient assessment, treatment, stabilization, and transport.
  • Ensure accurate completion of billing information for all patient transports.
  • Facilitate effective communication with management and both internal and external customers.
  • Engage in activities supporting public relations and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge through mandatory meetings, skill labs, clinical rotations, and continuing education pertinent to critically ill or injured patient care.
  • Fulfill all annual recurrent competency requirements and maintain active paramedic and necessary certifications.
  • Collaborate under the licensure of the Medical Director, reporting to the Manager of Clinical Services and the National Director of Clinical Standards.
  • Uphold and perform within the regulatory scope of the local Department of Health Services.

 

Requirements:

  • Active paramedic certification in the employed state.
  • Minimum of three years (five years preferred) in busy 911/pre-hospital service.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS required; NRP and Instructor certifications preferred.
  • FP-C required within 24 months of hire.
  • Preferred flight or transport experience.
  • Successful completion of the education/orientation program.
  • Effective human relations and basic computer skills.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Ability to pass a pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
  • Maintain body weight below 235 lbs.
