Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies, conducting legal research and drafting documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions.
  • Provide expert legal advice, counsel, and prepare clients for court appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and staff, ensuring quality work.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and support.
  • Stay current on family law changes and attend continuing legal education (CLE) events.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Maryland state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law.
  • Proven track record of handling complex family law cases.
  • Excellent litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of empathy and the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (CLIO).
  • Available to start after March 2025
