Job Description

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires a 4-year degree in Accounting, a clear drug screen, and a background check.

• Analyze and prepare documentation, financial statements, and reports to control and account for the use of funding.
• Prepare standard journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Make daily bank deposits.
• Enter and record daily tenant payments.
• Code all invoices for accounts payable entry and process daily check runs.
• Process recurring monthly payments.
• Process utility payments and consumption.
• Balance utility expense and consumption monthly.
• Process Section 8 Mid-month payments.
• Balance Section 8 Pre-list and process Section 8 checks monthly.
• File check stubs/backup in vendor files immediately after the check run is processed.
• Prepare the previous year's vendor files for microfilming.
• Perform accounting, financial, and/or administrative tasks as needed.
• Assist the Controller with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations reports.
