Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Driver / BOH Helper is responsible for the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of product from the Central Kitchen to assigned store locations using a box truck. When not in transit, the role supports store operations by assisting with inventory organization, unloading and stocking deliveries, and supporting BOH staff in day-to-day kitchen and prep tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Driving Duties:
Operate a company box truck in a safe, courteous, and professional manner
Pick up prepped food and supplies from Central Kitchen and deliver to assigned store locations
Load and unload products safely and efficiently at each destination
Secure all merchandise in the truck to prevent shifting or damage
Maintain cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections; report any issues to supervisor
Read route maps and delivery manifests accurately
Use handheld tech tools to manage delivery schedules and confirm completed drop-offs
Provide emergency on-call delivery support after hours or on weekends, as needed
BOH & Store Support Duties:
Organize and maintain back-of-house inventory at your home store.
Unload and stock deliveries properly upon return from routes
Assist the Kitchen Manager and BOH team with prep work, cleaning, and additional support tasks
Follow standard food safety and sanitation procedures
Act as a team player in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ready to step in wherever needed
Required Qualifications:
Experience driving box trucks in a commercial setting
Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and carry loads up to 50 feet
Physically fit and able to walk distances, bend, squat, and complete long shifts
Valid San Bernardino Food Handler's Card
Basic English; Spanish proficiency a plus
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Comfortable navigating heavy traffic and suburban areas
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with handheld logistics or route management tools
Ability to work independently and follow directions with minimal supervision
Comfortable supporting kitchen operations and adhering to food handling standards
Work Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday through Sunday, 5 or 6 days. 7am-1/3pm.
On-call availability for emergencies
