Data Manager - JANUS Research Group

Develops and maintains plans, policies, and processes for data management, data governance, security, quality, accessibility, use, and disposal.

• Creating and enforcing data policies for effective data management to ensure data is handled efficiently, security, and in compliance with organizational standards.
• Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.
• Implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis. Ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage and analysis to include data integrity and security.
• Assess and establish data sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing.
• Assist users in effectively utilizing data systems, troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure smooth data operations.
• Monitor and analyze information and data systems, evaluate performance, and identify area for improvement.
• Ensure data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards of data against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a data professional, including as a DBA, DB Developer, ETL Developer or data analyst

• Experience with assisting in the enforcement of data policies for effective data management to ensure data is handled efficiently, securely, and in compliance with organizational standards

• Experience with assessing and establishing data-sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing

• Experience with ensuring data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards of data against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption

• Ability to formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy

• Ability to implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis

• Ability to ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage, and analysis, including data integrity and security

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Management or IT

• IAT Level II certification

Salary: $180k

Location: Quantico, Building 2076/2084 gov facility\

Clearance: At start must be Secret with TS/SCI eligibility for indoc and access to SCInet.
