DATA ENGINEER

Remote - EST/CST preferred

6 month initial contract, potential extensions long term

Key Responsibilities:

• 6+ years of experience

• Develop, optimize, and maintain high-volume data pipelines.

• Enhance existing ETL/ELT processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Implement real-time and streaming data solutions (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or Spark Streaming).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather complex requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of cloud-based data engineering architectures (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Work on data modeling, query optimization, and transformation tasks.
• Support containerized deployments in Kubernetes or AKS environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with Python or comparable scripting languages.
• 3+ years of experience working with data warehouses, data modeling, and technical architecture.
• 3+ years of experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience with reporting/analytics tools.
• Experience with query optimization, workload management, and metadata.
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data and cloud architecture.
• Proven ability to independently manage deliverables and collaborate with stakeholders.
