The Data Analyst role supports a large organization by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data to inform business decisions, program performance, and policy. This position involves building dashboards, performing trend analyses, producing reports, working with business stakeholders to define metrics, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

Responsibilities:
- Gather, clean, validate, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Perform statistical analyses, data mining, and trending.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for management, stakeholders, and external audits.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics in collaboration with program leads.
- Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and propose corrections.
- Assist in forecasting, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Document data definitions, lineage, and processes.
- Support data governance, metadata management, and compliance with privacy / security policies.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years experience in data analysis / business intelligence.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with statistical or scripting languages.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex data.
- Good communication skills and ability to translate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to data quality, detail, and consistency.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in human services / social services / governmental programs.
- Experience with large datasets, ETL, data warehousing.
- Knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud data services.
- Experience with data governance, privacy, and security.
