Keep our school shining - O † Gorman High School is seeking a dedicated Custodian to make a difference in the lives of our students by providing a clean and safe environment.

Our ‘Mission’ desires “to form a community of faith and learning by promoting a Catholic way of life through Gospel values and academic excellence.” We are seeking an individual who will exhibit the ‘Core Values’ of Bishop O † Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity.

Schedule/Location:

Summer - 8:00am to 4:30pm

School - 3:15pm to 11:45pm

O † Gorman High School

Responsibilities :

• Promote the mission of Bishop O † Gorman Catholic Schools
• Keep buildings and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition. Clean up daily pickup of trash and debris.
• Clean and/or mop floors daily, disinfect bathrooms and drinking fountains
• Clean and disinfect classrooms
• Set up and take down equipment/chairs, etc. for all events at/related to the school
• Clean snow from sidewalks, as needed
• When applicable, open and lock the school buildings
• Promote a positive public image to students, staff and community through cooperation and attitude
• Shampoo Carpets (usually in the summer)
• Painting (as needed in summer)
• Annual floor care (e.g. stripping/waxing)

Qualifications:

• Self-starter, high energy
• Attention to detail, dependable, and trustworthy
• Knowledge and skills in cleaning supplies and equipment, inventory control and time management
• Understand how role relates to the “whole picture” and Bishop O † Gorman Catholic Schools Mission
• Ability to climb ladders, lift at least 50-80 lbs., and operate heavy machinery
