Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team in White Plains, MD. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facility. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to ensure a tidy appearance.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any facility issues to management.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to support overall facility operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in custodial or janitorial services is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving objects.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
