Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Technical Solutions – Containerization and DevOps Specialist that will provide on-site installation, configuration, support, and training for platform, desktop, and mobile products in environments ranging from traditional desktop to cloud-based implementations. Customer interactions are documented in Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management). Other duties will require troubleshooting customer issues and requests via e-mail, phone, and on-site customer visits. Software deficiency and enhancement requests are documented in Azure DevOps. Candidates will be required to conduct software demonstrations at trade shows, conferences, and customer sites, so strong presentation and public speaking skills are needed. Assist with training material development and other sales, marketing, testing, and customer support activities as required. Work with members of our client’s software team, product managers, and customers to develop, integrate, and configure the different applications.

As a CTS representative, you will be self-motivated and self-sufficient in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment where you will often be the client’s first impression for both users and leadership. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with desktop and server operating systems, hypervisors, Linux admin, as well as cloud-based platforms, applications, and services. Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud providers is desired as well as experience installing required SSL certificates, configuration options for networking, and user authentication. This role will work very closely with engineers in helping develop documentation and training processes for these new implementations. This role will also be involved with the upkeep and modernization of GXP's largest enterprise deployment.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work, this will be a full time onsite role.
This position requires US Citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Must currently possess a U.S. Top Secret clearance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work well in a very dynamic, fast-moving environment with high expectations
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Remote application support experience
  • Proficiency with virtual servers, VDI, and hypervisors (Hyper-V and VMware)
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose issues at both the system and application level, including Windows/Linux operating systems, databases, web services, and software integration
  • Ability to track down root causes and prepare findings and resolution recommendations.
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel domestically or internationally
  • Experience with the automated provisioning, maintenance, decommissioning of distributed systems running on cloud computing infrastructure
  • Understanding of the micro-services architectural style and an understanding of large container-based distributed systems (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • The ideal candidate will have Information Technology (IT) administrator knowledge with imagery and geospatial analysis experience
  • Experience in Geospatial software like SOCET GXP and GXP Xplorer Platform
