Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a Bellman to provide quality service and hospitality by assisting guests' needs across the hotel, transporting guests to and from the hotel in a timely and safe manner, as well as set up and tear down of meeting space based on banquet requests. They will assist guests in an efficient and courteous manner. Currently seeking afternoon part-time availability, 2 shifts per week, 14-16 hours. Benefits * Medical and Dental Insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist at front and with general cleaning while waiting for scheduled van shuttles.
• Set up and tear down of all function room space according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) details and company banquet standards.
• To assist Captains and servers with serving food or beverage and stocking buffet lines when requested.
• Keep the banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and banquet kitchen areas neat, clean and well organized.
• Display proper professional attitude, demeaner and cooperation toward guests, peers and management
• Drive to destination(s) and return to the hotel promptly.
• Check and maintain fluid levels of the van.
• Wash and clean interior of van, as needed.
• Maintain upkeep of the hotel facility public areas, as needed, to include trash removal, vacuuming/mopping as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• Experience: Customer service experience preferred.
• Licenses or Certificates: State requirements

Neat and clean in appearance and in uniform at all times. * Ability to follow instructions. * Maintain a Class C (or state requirement) valid driver’s license and a good driving record as outlined by our motor vehicle insurance company. Any violations received while not on duty may affect your insurability and employment at the hotel. * Possess interpersonal skills; should be friendly and outgoing. * Possess good communication skills. Speak, write, and understand English. * Exercise good judgment * Ability to operate van safely and legally. * Sit and drive a van for long periods of time. * Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally. * Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
